"Had a dessert of apple crumble and custard the custard was cold to the extent it was congealed and the crumble topping was like eating just flour it wasn’t even crumble. I would come back for drinks only but won’t be eating there again"

"Had problems with just eat. Shocking these days that to order food you have to go through an app but it is what it is. Sad times. Had problems. Order cancelled twice by system. Tried third time. Went through. In the 3rd time I actually added more food on so they would have made more money from me. Called the take away to be greeted by someone who couldn't be bothered to find out facts, and said we've cancelled your order. I tried to say well that's why I'm calling, coz evidently I want the food. No interest in helping. When I asked for the manager they slammed the phone down. Called back to get a rude, pedantic man. When I asked for the manager he said there wasn't one. How can you run a business when no one is in charge. Says it all really. Hence the appalling service. He talked and shouted over the top of me, I kept saying can you hear me over and over because there was that much noise in the background I wasn't sure whether he was just being awkward or genuinely couldn't hear. He still kept shouting over the top of me so couldn't be bothered to find out his facts. I tried to tell them there was a problem with the justeatapp, in case there was more than just me. He had no interest, says its all my fault, it's just me. He just wouldn't listen. How to ruin a business. It resulted in me insulting him with a name and swearing. I couldn't help myself. Jumped up little man. I used to order from you quite a bit. Not any more. I'll go elsewhere and make sure I pass word round although from the reviews I'd say it won't matter. Your food isn't the best. The only reason I ordered from you is because you want the lowest spend on the app. Shocking. Disgusting. Obviously thinks he doesn't need the business. Next time I won't call up to discuss if there is a problem with another restaurant. I'll just let it be problematic and escalate. Ruined my evening."

"Booked a table for a birthday meal here at Miller and Carter Crewe. This was our first time here at a Miller and Carter restaurant. Overall the meal was a great experience, the staff were warmly welcoming, polite and extremely attentive throughout the evening. We had to take a lot of time deliberating over the menu as there are many good choices of food to appeal to every palate we settled for calamari and cheesy garlic bread. The calamari was some of the better I've had when eating out, and paired with the lemon aioli made for a light and delicious starter that was perfectly paired with the complementary glass of wine the table received as a gift for the birthday occasion. The garlic bread was excellent; fresh and crisp bread with a generous amount of cheese, it was wonderfully garlicky and delicious. Our starters also flew out of the kitchen and were with us a mere 5 minutes after ordering! Overall the steak is of high quality, but not the best I have had, but by no means the worst. We ordered a sharing block which allowed us to sample the Ribeye, Sirloin and Fillet Mignon cuts (as well as some bbq ribs Our ribeye was cooked closer to a well done cook rather than the medium we asked for, however it was still delicious despite this and when we mentioned this to the waiting staff as our plates were cleared, they quickly informed the manager who promptly offered us a round of complimentary drinks. This certainly wasn't expected as we demolished those steaks and they were still absolutely delicious, but was a great example of good customer service and understanding. We were very appreciative of the gesture as we did not complain, just mentioned it in passing. I would perhaps say the chefs are a little over zealous with the cooks on the steaks as the rare fillet mignon we ordered was closer to a medium rare and the medium sirloin was closer to a medium well, so I would suggest ordering your steaks at the cook level below what you would normally like (order blue for rare, rare for medium well etc. This would be my only reason for dropping the 5th star in the review, but this would not rule out me coming back for another meal here or at a other M&C location. I found the additional offerings that came with our steaks (lettuce wedge and the onion loaf highly unique and added an extra layer of panache to our experience, the buttermilk ranch dressing was excellent and the onion loaf was delicious and not quite like anything I have had before, it was a great accompaniment to our meal. Our meal was finished with an espresso tiramisu to share (no picture because it was too delicious to wait for that! It was an exemplary finish to the meal, a perfect balance of sweet and bitter flavours and a light dessert to finish with. I would come back here in a heartbeat given the service, as the staff were excellent and genuinely seemed happy to be working there, it certainly makes for a much better atmosphere. Nothing seems too much to ask and they genuinely care about providing a good experience. Thank you for making making my birthday meal a memorable one. I certainly look forward to coming back again."

"Ordered from here for the first time ever and glad I did it. The food was great. Food was hot tubs were fully packed! We placed a massive order for 6 of us and it was ready so fast. The people working there were lovely. Got 2 big bags of prawn crackers free too! Highly recommend you try this place! Now my new favourite Chinese"
