"A good value tasty meal of smaller size fish and more than I can eat chips for OAPs only at lunch time. I believe the best fish chip shop in the area. I have eaten their food for many years and have never had cause to complaints! The food is cooked to order so always hot and NO soggy chips nor batter."

"We thought twice about using this fish and chip shop given a number of reviews citing rude staff. However, on our Saturday midday visit, our only human contact was with the young lady behind the counter who proved to be nothing but pleasant. When we said we would like to eat our fare on the tables set out at the front, she provided us with napkins, wooden forks and slices of lemon. The cod was absolutely delicious and we really enjoyed sitting in the autumnal sunshine eating the excellent portions which we washed down with a flask of tea that we had brought with us. This story would probably have been different had ‘Mr Grumpy’ intervened I assume he was the male who was doing the frying) but, despite his perceived shortcomings, he does seem to know how to provide a very tasty fish."

"This is Shanghai’s most historical vegetarian restaurant, Godly was founded in The staff are Very friendly and helpful,prices are very reasonable. I loved the crab here. "It’s Friday, we felt like a chippy tea, let’s go to Highlands Chippy.... I arrived at 20.07 hrs, no queue (fab), gave my order which included large cod. It will be 12-15 minutes for the large cod said the girl serving, no problem I said, I’ll just pop to cashpoint. I returned at 20.16 hrs, still no queue, but a steady flow of customers getting served. There were 3 young women on duty (no boss tonight, shame). At 20.30 hrs one of the girls started to wrap my order, startled, she said, where’s the cod bites? Another female tossed 3 into the fryer. At 20.42 hrs, I was called forward and got, sorry for the wait, we had to do more cod bites. Once at home, we were disappointed. The cod (1 large, 1 medium and the bites) were over cooked, the fish was tough and the batter hard and brown. It was a similar story with the sausages in batter, over cooked with very brown batter. Please can the boss be present on Fridays, or else I’ll take my £30.70 elsewhere in future. Not a great chippy tea, definitely forgettable."

"Omg I dived to get some fish and chips and was one because not there. was blown away from the quality. massive pieces of juicy cod absolutely delicious. they love the new environmentally friendly packaging. thanks for a warm welcome. they only accept cash, but will cook their order if they are next to the free cash point in aldi. I wish the idee has made a photo of the cod, but it was too tasty to waste at any time."
