"This is a great place 5km from Laguiole, but let's cut to the chase - it is dog-friendly and has a couple of Labradors, so if you are travelling with dogs it's for you - if you don't like dogs, go somewhere else.The price bracket is low, so if you're used to travelling de luxe, it's probably not for you - but for the rest it most certainly is!We had demi-pension (bed, dinner and breakfast) for €42 each. Dinner was melon with port, followed by steak and aligot (a local dish, basically smooth cheese and potato mix - yum!), a good cheeseboard and dessert. Truly delicious.Rooms are functional, with just enough space - but they are clean and comfortable. I had a good night's sleep with no sound but the waterfall alongside.Service is excellent and friendly - so give it a try if you're in the area. I'm tempted to take up cross-country skiing just so I can go back!"

"If you like delicious local food this is the place to eat at Laguiole. Yes, it is crowded but service is fast and very attentive. We had the faux fillet for two people accompanied with French fries and a hearty portion of aligot as well as the accompanying sauces and the local L’Aubrac beer. The meat was perfect and the aligot which is velvety mashed potatoes with cheese and garlic amazing. There is also a small shop that you can buy local products. Don’t miss this place!"

"We were in France for a week and had meals in a few Michelin starred restaurants. This meal was the best of them all. The 3 hours drive from Toulouse was well worth the trip. The dishes were imaginative, colourful and the service impeccable. The restaurant is situated on a hill outside the village. Pre-dinner drinks overlooking the Laguiole countryside was just amazing. The Bras has a 13 rooms boutique hotel at the restaurant. This was an unique experience. Highly recommended at least once a lifetime."
