"Literally, the BEST Chinese food, from the BEST Chinese Takeaway, I have EVER been to tried. The food is absolutely always 100% freshly made to your order, and any specific requests you have a happily received. The food is of the highest quality, cooked expertly portion sizes are very generous, indeed!! Hand on heart, the ONLY Chinese Takeaway that I will go to. Recommended to veggies, too, due to the high range of vegetarian and vegan dishes. And to top it off, it is very modestly priced."

"Ignore any older comments about the rooms. We booked to stay here (2 adults, 1 child and a dog) and the rooms had clearly been recently refurbished. Beds were comfy, shower was clean and worked great, couldn't fault the room whatsoever. Didn't eat or drink in the pub, but very much enjoyed our breakfasts the next morning. Owners were lovely too. Would definitely recommend"

"First time here will definitely be going back. Lovely building full of nostalgia. Friendly and helpful staff. Decided on something to eat, and the menu read so well. Can definitely recommend the steak and kidney steam pudding and the southern fried chicken burger. Both superb and just being able to taste the homemade goodness of it all. Marvellous. Also being able to watch the chef work was a bonus, as was him personally delivering my dessert, which was a warm Victoria sponge.. Which again I'd highly recommend.
