"Disappointed, we expected to eat a good savoyard fondue, specialty of the region again! Really very medium, very little taste and too liquid. Let's not talk about wine, 50cl of Rhone coast to 25€! Too bad because the staff is nice, but that's not all."

"We have been dining at Chez Fonfon for over 15 years, Gerard and Christine, were always so hospitable, relaxed and caring. We went there recently to find that Gerard and Christine have retired and new owners taken over. The atmosphere has totally changed. The waiters...rush around and make you feel like you are an inconvenience. I was waiting to be seated and a waiter walked into me with a huge tray of drinks, he scowled at me and didn't even say sorry (even though I did) it really hurt my arm, it was a miracle he didn't spill the drinks all over me! Eventually we were seated, ignored for much of the time, no smile with service, no bread with food, drinks and sauces requested did not arrive. Even the ESF ski instructors did not receive good service (they were always treated with great care and respect). Altogether it was totally unpleasant experience, (although the food was OK) the service ethos is worse than appalling, when we dared to mention the poor service the owner turned to his partner and said, (in French) ignore them they are only four people! We don't expect things to stay the same, but we do expect to be treated with respect and care as customers, the place has lost all its charm. They now book out nearly all the tables, the rush around looking stressed, its more like a poorly managed pretentious London restaurant that a relaxed french ski in/out restaurant on the piste. Such a shame!"

"We used to gastronomic evenings, we had a very good night at the cabanon. the welcome was warm and we enjoyed the advice from our two guests, because the chef also comes out of his kitchen which is very appreciable. the card is restricted but effective and allows each to find a dish to its taste. She changes every three months. the dishes were cooked with class (and a lot of love) the products are very fresh and excelled. the flavor of the different elements on the plate remains always authentic and they blend harmoniously between them. decoration remains fairly simple but effective in a setting where wood dominates. a few pictures retrace the history of the restaurant and undoubtedly allow to link the modern cuisine of the chef to the tradition of his restaurant. a booking is highly recommended!"

"What a great experience! we saw the construction of the house and was a privilege to discover its result. Don't worry. It is a magical place and out of time that does not compete with others. We're at marc veyrat. That's it. we no longer know where to throw eyes, so every detail is beautifully thought out. everything is supposed and the presence of the leader on the side of his hosts is a privilege of re-election. a great bavo also to the whole team for the dedication and excellence it demonstrates."
