"Visited the cheshire tavern tonight for a mother's meal with my family! after a small mix with the booking we found a table in no time! when I and my brother went to order, we warned, there was a 45 minute waiting time for food when one of the chefs was sick and the steamer had packed. the type that served was completely honest and apologetic, which was appreciated, as I personally prefer to be directly with me when I wait for a bit instead of being fucked away or being given false promises! all the workers were helpful and polite and did everything they could think about, how busy it is about 17 o'clock on mothering Sunday! After about an hour we were offered free drinks, because for our patient, then arrived shortly after our meal, all four of them cooked and prepared for a very high standard, beautiful and warm and generous portions. we were then informed by the waitress that we could have dessert for them because of our waiting period! we have tipped the staff for their drinking money, because sincerely none of them did something wrong and everything did the best they could in a difficult situation! will go back to any case, wanted to thank joe personally, but I know that he was thrown away in the kitchen that shows me only the kind of person he is, someone arranged sick and it was all hands on deck and he is just in the job of the person he is! respect them all their cool and delivered first-class service! I and my family all had a really nice time and will definitely be back"

"We called here as we were passing, having never been before. We did not expect such amazing food. We had the homemade lamb and mint pie, it was filled with quality meat and packed with flavor. The customer service was fabulous , the owner was...cheerful and friendly and our table servers could not have done more, particularly the young gentleman Venus. This place is a bit out if our way, but we will definitely come back, the quality of food is worth the distance. Absolutely top marks it is so lovely to find somewhere that serves quality home made food."

"Came for Sunday dinner with a big group. menu had different options without being unnecessary. I went with the chicken liver parrot for my appetit and the lamb for my head. the food came in good steps and was always at the right temperature. a beautiful afternoon. I would highly recommend as Sunday option."
