"Went right downhill, usedty be best indian in Stirling. Waited hour and a half on food. Korma bhuna was stone cold, pakora was auld as the hills. Only good thing was the naan. Lucky you canny rate 0 stars.. Avoid like the plague"

"I booked this place for my family. they stayed in touch, but the standards slipped there, so we thought we would try the sisters two. the bridge of the allan has been good for years, but the last stay was under standard. they rented one of the connected houses that are beautifully designed. they told them to call the reception when they needed help, but no phone in the house! the next morning gas had failed in the kitchens and the breakfast was not well offered. I know it wasn't her fault. for a breakfeast for men, however, only a pound discount was offered, despite being half the full breakfast not on the teller, this was a paltry order in consideration of the bill total for the stay. my brother asked for a touch what they said they could not be served without gas (microwave), they then later served the stewards to the next table. in the following morning they checked early and the staff offered them a cold breakfast to be brought to the house. they never came, they went to the reception and they could not find any soul for half an hour at the place! I hope the hotel can pull together would be a shame to fall it. I rarely leave negative reviews and I am really not picky, but this place must form. I would like to add a change request, my review, the hotel has contacted me a full apology and also a free overnight stay for my parents. I appreciate it very well from the hotel, and I guess we were especially unhappy. the hotel explained that it was a serious disturbance in communication with the kitchen and aimed not to happen again. I'm glad they took time to contact me. very appreciated and I am sure that our next stay will be more standard"

"We ate here this evening whilst staying in the hotel. When we went to book a table in the restaurant (they don’t take walk-ins even for hotel guests) we were informed that there were no tables for another two hours. As we are frequent travellers and had only booked the hotel a few hours earlier I decided to book, what a mistake I made; even during the process of creating the booking the gentleman walked away to fix a card machine for a colleague. With a one year old baby this was less than ideal but we happily went back at 8pm. We were then made to stand in a queue for another 10 minutes before we were seated. They had forgotten the requested highchair so we reminded the gentleman and he said he’d go and get it. Another 20 minutes later our very helpful waitress arrived to take our drinks order and apologised profusely when we pointed out the missing highchair. Generally the service across the restaurant was poor with a clear lack of management or communication. I’d assume something went really wrong with their service this evening as I don’t remember seeing such poor service for many years. The food was ok when it arrived and the waitress seemed to work hard to make up for the problems we had seen early on. Overall service was 1/5 but through no fault of our hard working waitress. Food quality 3/5 average for a Doubletree. Value for money 1/5 they were charging £32.95 for a steak and £4.50 for a Coke! Almost tourist trap prices, and that’s from somebody who stays in Hilton brand properties several times per month. I’ll review the hotel separately upon checkout and I’ll update Flyertalk also but the poor F&B service has unfortunately let the whole hotel down."

"We had 2 breakfasts here, as hotel guests. The breakfasts were plain and average nothing more nor less. Service was lacking. The amount of dead animals hung on the wall of the restaurant was appalling."
