"We went there as a family, and have been very impressed by the quality of food and staff in the restaurant. The staff was lovely and very attentive they made sure we were comfortable at all times. We ordered prawns and ‘mixed meats/fish’ curries....The food was the best Indian food we have eaten for years! The prawns were big, moist and perfectly cooked, the mix of spices (in our different curries) wonderfully aromatic, and curries were made on the ‘less spicy side’ for the kids (they woofed it). Highly recommended this is a gem."

"Second time I’ve been. Staying at nearby Craigendarroch lodges. Management or something was in transition because the service was sub-par for a pricey restaurant. Dishes not arriving as ordered and at different times. However food was excellent. Surprised that the card machine didn’t work and only found out when I was about to pay the bill."

"Beautiful, quirky caffe that simply serves the best coffee and homemade cakes to die for plus beautiful, contemplative hearty dishes. they can even take their dog to sit on the wood stove. love that they are open early to the breakfast."

"Avoid this place! Keep driving on to Ballater for a better selection of places for food and drinks. Staff are rude, food is not good. Avoid the plastic in the food! Overpriced food and drinks that is better elsewhere. Food drinks: Basic food, not good quality."
