Visited for a weekday lunch with a friend following seeing all the good reviews. Ordered the Homity Pie with salad Piecrust/base a little soggy, Salad a little limp Cappucino Coffee was a little weak. There were several traybakes to choose from but seeing other diners had Carrot Cake I asked for this but was told it was only available to afternoon tea diners! View all feedback.
What HeleH doesn't like about Alfreton House Tearooms:
We all had Panini’s which were freshly made, served with salad and crisps, for our drinks we had a Nutella milkshake, strawberry milkshake and a latte, everything was tasty and excellent value for money, we’ll definitely be returning again soon View all feedback.
This was our first trip and certainly won’t be our last! We went for our son’s birthday and enjoyed the traditional afternoon tea and the ploughman’s afternoon tea. What a treat! The food was amazing and plentiful at such a reasonable price! Give this place a try!
Lovely tea rooms, very friendly. This was our second visit, we have now been for both lunch and breakfast. Will definitely be a regular place for us as we have family nearby. Was great with our little one as well, no judgement when she was being a little loud playing and staff super friendly.
Called in for lunch when passing through Alfreton. Very friendly and welcoming proprietor. Excellent food at very resonable prices and a proper pot of tea. The panini with salad is bigger than you might expect! Thank you for a good lunch.

Great afternoon teas! Would recommend! Cakes are all homemade. Food is fresh and definitely the best afternoon tea in the area!
