I highly recommend the fried tomato and cheese sandwich with bacon substituted for avocado and vegetable toppings - it is amazing. The truffle topping is also vegetarian and absolutely delicious. View all feedback.
What Max Waldner doesn't like about Rye Knot:
Extremely tart whiskey sour…really just tasted like lemon juice. Ordered the pork belly over brussells as an appetizer. It came out with a giant hunk of pork belly and a quarter of that was very overcooked and the other portion was raw and extremely fatty. Our server noticed this without us saying anything and they removed the pork belly from our bill. I got the aged tenderloin as the main and the steak was very fatt... View all feedback.
I recommend the Fried tomato breast by replacing the bacon for speed and veggie frits it is amazing. The truffle engraving is also vegetarian and for dying.
We had a new server who seemed inexperienced and could have used some guidance from a more seasoned team member. Despite his lack of menu and beverage knowledge, the food was excellent as always. We tried the salmon for the first time and it was delicious. This restaurant is one of our favorite spots to dine at.
I went for lunch during Restaurant Week and the atmosphere was fantastic. It wasn't too noisy in the front part of the dining area, although I can't speak for the bar area. I ordered the shaved ribeye sandwich and it exceeded my expectations. It's now my all-time favorite sandwich. I also had the chance to chat with the owner, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
The food and service were excellent at this restaurant. The staff and owner were very friendly and attentive. The only thing we would have liked to change was our seating location. We were seated in a booth in the bar, next to the shuffleboard table, which was not ideal for a nice meal. Despite this, we would definitely return for another visit.
We have supported this restaurant since it opened, but unfortunately, we will not be returning due to the terrible treatment we received from the owner. Our group was cut off from ordering after only 2-3 drinks, while others who had just arrived were allowed to have one. When we questioned why we were being cut off, we were told it was because we had been drinking since 11am. We explained that our reservation was at 1:15pm, so this was not possible. The unprofessional owner did not even come out to talk to us himself, instead sending a server who was great. We were shocked that he would put them in such a difficult situation. I can't help but wonder if the owner didn't want LGBTQ+ individuals sitting in front of his establishment. I would recommend avoiding this place unless you want to be profiled. They are located in a strip mall, so the atmosphere is lacking as well.
