"Like many other people, my wife and I were amazed by the great reviews for the food and service at this relatively small restaurant in Llandrillo. We were staying in Corwen, the night before going to a wedding, and we were very lucky indeed to get a table for 8pm. We were not disappointed Caroline and Chris are both very welcoming, attentive and the food is simply stunning (and the wine was great too). Chris is a magician! He really is brilliant at what he does. He is so thorough and he has clearly spent many years honing his craft – there is so much attention to detail. If you (and your family and friends) like good food, then this is the place to go! The flavours, textures, temperatures and presentation of the food are all excellent. The size of the portions are really good and sensible and the relatively low prices are amazing (especially considering the very high standard of the cuisine and service). We’ve eaten out twice recently, one in a city restaurant and the other in a country pub. We paid much more for each course and while the food was good it was not as good as that served at the Berwyn Restaurant. This restaurant is very highly recommended but, we were lucky, book in advance to avoid disappointment!"

"Food was delicious, portioned well and came out quick Tender meat and full of flavour. Recommend the tandoori mixed grill (lamb was so tender) and the chicken rezza (requested spicy) was out of this world. Rivals any curry house we’ve tried in Mcr. Family friendly, the gentleman serving us took the kids to meet ‘the chef’ and they came out with a lolly. Great experience, well recommended."

"We had a great meal here last night. The lamb just fell off the fork it was amazing. Michelle and Rui made it feel more like dinner at a friend's house than a restaurant. Really accomodating with Matthew who enjoyed the olives almost as much as throwing the rice in the floor! Shame we couldn't stay long enough for puddings they looked great. Really recommend it. "I had only a nice meal in the pub to celebrate my parents who taught 50 years ago. the staff was friendly and friendly. the pub was really nice and warm. we had net and pudding and eating was delicious, everyone in our group of 9 enjoyed their food, no complaining at all. would be highly recommended."

"Stayed just 1 night using Travelzoo voucher. Included 6 course taster menu we added matching wines. Fantastic in every respect. Food was wonderful best lamb we have ever tasted. Staff friendly very professional. All guests made to feel special pampered including our spaniel Joe. Just a cracking spot for a break !"
