"Ankor was excellent. we had a great evening dinner there on the 20th. the duck and foie gras were delicious and the apple cocktail from the bar was one of the best drinks I had for years. the mood was nice and the conversation with the cook made for a really great dinner. I don't have any photos of desserts, but we also enjoyed them. prices were what they would expect for a beautiful restaurant with high quality ingredients. I would recommend the place without hesitation."

"There are both positive and negative aspects of the Juniper. We stayed in the third floor suite and the views are simply spectacular. The suite is very roomy, much like staying in a condo with a fully stocked kitchen. However, there is only one full bath with no tub so it limits options for families with young children. The sitting room, with the view, is nice, but the seating is not that comfortable and there is a step up into the room that is not that noticeable and hard to see in the dark. Pretty major tripping hazard that should be addressed. There were also a couple of maintenance issues that should have been fixed. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. They could use some larger coffee cups and lap blankets. Staff is a mix. Sofia (sp? who checked us in had a curt attitude that was close to rude. Emre, on the other had, was great. I'm not sure if the hotel is interested in addressing staff issues as we supplied information on the survey they sent and never heard anything back. The bistro was a disappointment. Jason was great, and servers were nice, but I'm guessing they are struggling with staffing as we ended up leaving without ordering dinner since there was such a long wait, even with only two other tables present. Happy hour was unimpressive, but the brunch menu has some nice options and the Alpine Melt was good."

"We stopped in for brunch at the vermillion room. The brunch had a huge variety of foods, vegetarian options as well. Pancakes were great, the fresh whip cream was absolutely amazing!Staff were very friendly and helpful.This brunch buffet is absolutely worth it for the price, top quality food with a great variety.I'll definitely come back again."

"COWS ice cream is excellent. I was not disappointed. It was a super cold day, but the ice cream was so worth it. So flavorful and they have such great flavors to choose from. Friendly staff too. Wish they had indoor seating but that's not a deal breaker at all. Great place to check out in Banff."

"We were there for dinner with family. We ordered couple of drinks and food. They forgot the drinks. We have to remind them. Similar situation with table next to us. They forgot appetizers.Overall food quality was fine. We order Chimayo Chile and honey glazed Salmon. Blackened Chicken burger."

"We have never been insulted or disgusted with any restaurant worker. we are all in customer service, and the heart with the dark brown curly tail is probably the rude person each of us has met. he should never be close to customers or...people we didn't even enter the restaurant as we didn't want to be around such an angry hired one. he opened the restaurant and we waited 10 minutes before the doors should be opened. he put his stress on us. if they have to do with customers, they must be actor/actress and not want potential customers away. the"
