Meskerem offers a vegetarian and vegan platter which comes with a variety of lentils, spinach, beetroot, and other vegetables, plus a tasty salad. The owner is also very friendly and helpful if you need advice on allergens etc. Updated from previous review on 2022-09-18 View all feedback.
What HC-Zurich doesn't like about Meskerem:
Normally I don't like if the menu doesn't clearly say what's vegan. But since Ethiopian cuisine is quite vegan friendly be default and since the advertise vegan prominently on the outside I can overlook that. Eating Ethiopian is quite the new experience: You pick up the curries using pieces of a very unique flatbread. View all feedback.

Eight of us had dinner yesterday We took the vegetarian platters. It's super fine. Super friendly. We will be back.
Excellent service, everything was explained to us, what we should eat and what we should eat, a trip to another culture in Zurich, an experience.
Das Essen war so so toll , dass wir nachbestellen mussten . Wir als Vegetarier konnten sehr gut satt werden . Bedienung sehr nett und aufmerksam . Echtes erlebniss.
