We've so enjoyed visiting the Bean Counter with friends and family in the past. Food and quality has always been excellent.What a bummer when we visited today to see if new management were keeping it the same. Poor display, and appearance of baked goods, we had 2 panninis, mine was almost cold and both had a thin sliver of cheese, tomato, couple of slivers of pepper and some herbs,- definitely not the generous well f... read more.

A visit to The Bean Counter Cafe becomes even more rewarding due to the extensive diversity of coffee and tea specialties, there are also delicious vegetarian dishes on the menu. Even if you're not so famished, you can treat yourself to one of the fine sandwiches, a small salad or another snack, The traditional Canadian dishes are well received by the guests of the local.

Great place to stop for light lunch with home made soups, casseroles, sandwiches and baked goods. Young staff are energetic and usually pleasant.

Visited the brew for the first time for a quick lunch, only to be turned off instantly. The tall blonde back and fourth from till to food handling with no washi...

"Okay, nothing special. This is the only Japanese restaurant in town, and the only place aside from Quality Foods to get sushi. The restaurant is in a lodge next to a cemetary The food really isn't that good. But when you don't have much for competition, what do you expect The last time I went, the waitress brought us an octopus salad on the house. I would have been thankful it it wasn't for the very obvious fishy smell of the dish. Was it fresh? Probably not. We didn't eat it. Our actual order was decent, but nothing to rave about."
