"A country pub serving gourmet food in traditional suroundings. not only was eating superb (we had slowly boiled boiled boils with crackling) cooked with everything to perfection, the staff was charming, very attentive, without being overlaid. the menu was so that the choice was not just every item was appealing. there was a good selection of beers, a super wine list including cocktails and desert wines. Although not cheap, the bill was much lower than expected and was excellent worth for money. Although it was a long trip for us, we will definitely visit again and we are very happy to recommend the white hard."

"Wonderful experience at The Lamb. I was delighted at the variety of vegetarian options very unusual to get a choice and not a mushroom risotto in sight. My husband was also very happy with his flat iron steak. Great meal, wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff...and Molly the dog asleep on my foot. Perfect evening!"

"Wow. What a find. My partner and I came for dinner on Wednesday for his birthday meal and were elated at our experience. The owners and staff were incredibly warm and welcoming as was the snug area where we were seated. We felt comfortable as soon as we arrived. Personally we very much enjoy fine dining food without the pretentious atmosphere that sometimes accompanies it and The Carpenters Arms was perfect for us! The food was exquisite, Masterchef The professionals should definitely be considered if not already. Some of our most favourite things from the meal were the satay sauce from the chicken croquettes, confit duck leg and potato terrine on the duck breast dish, the crab tart, The home made bread with butter, the truffle fries, and carrot cake dessert. Highly recommend this place for special occasions and we will definitively come back to try other seasonal menus, lunch menu and afternoon tea! For sure. Thank you so much for a memorable meal."

"Lovely place for a family reunion between Christmas and New Year. The food was very good (my cousin and her husband run a restaurant). Lovely welcome and the fact that part of our party were late was not a problem. Will definetely recommend and we will be back!"
