I had an amazing experience at Chipotle, thanks to Mike! He was the nicest and most helpful person I've ever met at any Chipotle. Thank you so much, Mike! The food was fantastic, and the rest of the staff was incredibly friendly as well!
The food was poorly handled and obviously not prepared properly. There was one guy who seemed to be doing his best to train others while managing everything himself, but it was just too much for him. The drinks were terrible; I can't believe they were made with the machines. My kids tried their drinks and said they were undrinkable because they burned their mouths. I tasted it myself, and it was just awful. The food was not edible, and most of it ended up in the trash. The overall cleanliness of the establishment was lacking, with a disgusting mess everywhere. I would never return to this restaurant. If it were possible to give a negative rating, I absolutely would.
I used to absolutely love this restaurant when we lived in Scottsdale on FLW Boulevard, but the location in Canandaigua feels like a completely different place! The quality of customer service, portion sizes, food presentation, and cleanliness were all subpar. I was shocked when I was told they couldn't provide vinaigrette because they were understaffed and had no one available to make it that day. Yet, there were about 7-8 staff members standing around talking while the kitchen crew rushed to attend to customers, who were lining up out the door! There was no manager to be seen, and the whole experience felt disorganized and disconnected. It left me feeling really disappointed. If things stay this way, I fear they won't be in business for long. Canandaigua is a small town, and word spreads quickly, especially when a place has such a poor reputation. Now you can see why.
When I asked to speak to the manager about the overall condition of the restaurant, the only response I got was that they had to focus on a $3,000 catering order first. I don’t see how a catering order justifies neglecting the upkeep of their dining area. The store owners really need to train their staff better and possibly hire more qualified individuals to handle the operations. The manager looked quite young and didn’t seem to take responsibility for the situation at all.
