All reviews for D&S Southern Comfort BBQ from all websites. The restaurant offers good food (4 stars) and is one of the best restaurants in CARLSBAD SPRINGS.

It was a nice sunny day and none of us had a BBQ and was craving for some Ribs and chicken.

Not sure what most of these people are talking aboutThis place is heaven.

So I have read alot about this place on the forums etc- and apparently they will be featured on an episode of "You Gotta Eat Here" on March 2nd.

Once the local watering hole, Kelly's Bar,' back in the day and then a Biker, Stripper Bar this old hotel has been risen from the Ashes of Vice to become a Deli...

"Small, charming spot, deftly run by a hands on wife and husband team that cranks out superb food and ridiculously reasonable prices. This was our first Saturday visit, the only day they serve the 18 hour smoked brisket and it was the bomb: in house...bun, pickles, coleslaw and barbecue sauce, with the regions best shoestring fries as well as a side of grilled kale and Brussels sprouts superlative.The brisket was sold out before 1 pm. The hipsters are slowly discovering this hidden gem.This is a must visit."

"My husband and I often do lunchtime dates on his day off while our son is in school. I only have so this place is perfect. I ordered the piggyback. The bun was so soft and the toppings blended so well together (pork, slaw,...onions pickles and honey bbq sauce). My husband ordered the fire drill. It reminds me of a slightly spicy club wrap with chicken, bacon, Chili pepper cream cheese, pickled jalapeños and sriracha mayo. I’m not a spicy person but it was very good. The dill potato salad with bacon, cheese, green onion and dill. It’s one of the best I’ve ever had. This place can easily be missed as its on a busy street. It has plenty of parking in the back but limited seating inside. It’s definitely a must try and perfect for a lunchtime date."

"Entirely satisfying dessert. A pleasant change from gelato and ice cream, both of which are readily available in Ottawa and sometimes have a little less character than this frozen custard. I have not had frozen custard in decades; this version was firm, with good texture in the mouth on first taste and yet pleasantly smooth as the melt began. In fact, I usually like to savour gelato...but this frozen custard in a cone did not last long. I devoured it and wondered soon after what had happened; it was that good. A nice discovery during West Fest."
