"My man ordered the breakfast burrito and asked if they could mix all flesh. he said it was the best he ever had. it was a big part and had other customers in awe at the portion size. we highly recommend this restaurant for a wonderful breakfast experience."

"I realize that, in such a small tourist town, this place doesn't have to try very hard as they don't have to relay on repeat customers, and it Really shows. The place was very run down and dirty, doors for propped open with chairs, no maintenance have been done at all on the place so every leak stain on the ceiling was left, holes in the walls were never repaired and the bathroom looked like an old service station restroom. The food was covered but the lettuce had oxidized and many of the other choices looked limp and old. I got a roast beef footlong meal. I can't exactly put my finger on what was wrong with it, it's simply was incredibly bland even though I had asked and saw him add salt and pepper to it. The bread felt doughy but it looked done. The place was run down and dirty but I can't really explain what it was about the sandwich that made me take three bites wrap it up and throw the rest to the birds. Just down the road, probably less than a mile, is a barbecue restaurant called serious Texas BBQ and it is delicious. There is also the Elkhorn Cafe outside of the Elkhorn Lodge and it is, likewise, very good. There are not a lot of choices in Chama, but one of the worst that you can make is the Subway."

"Really surprisingly good! Don’t judge the place by its appearance. The crispy chicken sandwich was really good, as were the fries. Buddy said their burger was the best he’s had in a while. CDT thru-hikers: They were drive-thru only when we hikers went, but just stand in the drive thru like a car and they’ll play along. Worth it."

"I agree with many other reviews that this restaurant is exceptional. Large portions and a beautiful mix of offers that meet the hungry of travellers. Sit outside when the weather allows and enjoy how a small, beautiful mountain town falls without hordes of people. Chama is a fantastic starting point for both a family of explorers or just a couple looking for adventure. The canyons east of here are dynamic and the local landscape is peaceful, highest."

"Obviously lots of others liked it. But we've been to plenty of good restaurants and I've written a lot of restaurant reviews, mostly favorable. I wish I'd read this review before we stopped: Stay away. Eat the stale peanuts in your glove box and drive a few more miles. My hamburger was tasteless and scary, Carol's was simply a gardenburger from a box served without a top bun, the fries were lousy, and any place that doesn't allow use of the bathroom should be shut down is that even legal? Slow service is usual these days, but this service was extra slow. And forgetful. It was a long chore just to pay the bill for stuff we didn't want in the first place."
