we had taken away. vegan burger was delicious. the difference in rolls or cheese could not really be said. my sister also enjoyed her 1/4 pounder burger.

I'm here a couple times. consistent good cod and chips with large portions. I think it's as good a local chippy as all the others I was, and better than some. h...

always consistent and we get a beautiful part of fish and chips. my wife likes the part of the senior. only enough for them.

"Very nice, found this by accident, but would definitely return. "Passed through on my walk of the Essex Way in the May day bank holiday weekend. The previous 2 pubs I had tried were closed and I was hankering for an evening meal and a rest so I came to the Windmill not realising how fancy it was! Despite that and my less than ideal attire, the waitress was as an an angel to a weary traveller and found me a seat. After a bread basket with a deliciously salty spread, a cauliflower risotto and of course a chilly pint, a man on the edge walked another few miles or so into the night and slept happily in the woods with a smile on his face. I will have to return one day the classiness of the place mixed with its quaint but very highly refined pub vibe is exquisitely peaceful and the food is like dining on dreams. Only giving it 5 stars because 1000 isn't an option."

"Been here a few times , food always great, down side. Staff over attentive got asked 4-5 times are we ready to order by different members of staff, then as we were eating constantly clearing bits off table, felt like they were rushing to get us served out , great shame as could be amazing there service charge added on bill for 4 £165. Which we declined but left our own tip , please read make your restaurant even better."
