Our second visit to this hidden gem in Chelmsford. Authentic menu, lovely staff and fabulous food. The yellow chicken curry was delicious.

Food was excellent, the flavours were delicate and not over powered by chillies. The staff were friendly and service was excellent. Will definitely visit again.

Very authentic restaurant. Food was delicious, service was great and friendly. We will definitely come back to try more authentic Thai dishes.

Incredible food. Massaman is so tasty they do rice crackers with a lovely thick peanut sauce that is the best thing ever. Would recommend

"Passed through on my walk of the Essex Way in the May day bank holiday weekend. The previous 2 pubs I had tried were closed and I was hankering for an evening meal and a rest so I came to the Windmill not realising how fancy it was! Despite that and my less than ideal attire, the waitress was as an an angel to a weary traveller and found me a seat. After a bread basket with a deliciously salty spread, a cauliflower risotto and of course a chilly pint, a man on the edge walked another few miles or so into the night and slept happily in the woods with a smile on his face. I will have to return one day the classiness of the place mixed with its quaint but very highly refined pub vibe is exquisitely peaceful and the food is like dining on dreams. Only giving it 5 stars because 1000 isn't an option."

"Been here a few times , food always great, down side. Staff over attentive got asked 4-5 times are we ready to order by different members of staff, then as we were eating constantly clearing bits off table, felt like they were rushing to get us served out , great shame as could be amazing there service charge added on bill for 4 £165. Which we declined but left our own tip , please read make your restaurant even better."
