"Nice crowd, decent selection of beers, okay food, and attentive service. All adds up to a good lunch in Cobourg, Ontario. What is an over opinionated, self proclaimed Yelpi Master , foodie barfly doing in a nice town like Cobourg? Well, a client sent me there! Wasn 't my idea! I like travelling to small towns in Ontario. They are nothing like rural America, where a guy like me could probably end up staring at a bottom of some metal barrel than the bottom of a beer stein. No matter where I have travelled through the farming community of Canada, I am always greeted with a good handshake and a warm smile. I invite all Yelpers to take to the road this summer and discover what rural Canada has to offer. Farmers Feed Cities! Now back to my adventures. CJ 's had a $5 special for their generous pour of Canadian or Coors Light. For those of you who know me, I 'm a beersnob. Those beers are good after you had a few good beers and your tastebuds are off and you only want to perpetuate the feeling of being totally trashed. Next morning hangovers on cheap beer give you wicked headaches! Pay full pop and get a good drink instead...I always do. They didn 't have any real Belgium beers. I was hoping by going to an independent place, they would have more of a selection sadly no. Heck, pour me a Creemore then. I had their Reuben for lunch with a side salad. Salad, kind of sadly put together. The Reuben was a saltier than I 'd like. but a meal is a meal. When on the road, it 's nice to be able to have a decent sit down meal. I would go to back to CJ 's if I was in the area and had some time to burn. Nice people and good experience will do that. 3.5 Stars. Cheers!"

"I recently ordered fish and chips they were the worst we have ever had with each bite full of grease. I have had frozen fish from the supermarket better than this at 1/3 the cost. Was told the fish would be dusted with breading in...reality it was extra thick breading. This was followed by horrible service. Will never order anything from here again."

"Absolutely amazing. the ribs and the horses are the hands down which I have ever had. fall off the bone and juicy. the horses are super tasty! also try their fantastic beans and do not skip some extra grill sauce. servietten? no need. finger lick amazing."
