What User likes about The Layer Fox:
our visit to the fox was beautiful. the menu was somewhat limited, and to be honest, a little more expensive than we might expect (there was no indication of what we could expect on the website, how a menu could not see.) for example, child meal is £7.50, which is a fair bit more than I would normally pay for my 3 year old. fortunately, eating was very nice and the pub itself is pretty nice inside. the brat was good,... What MerseaRay doesn't like about The Layer Fox:
We found it very cold in the main dinning area, because the main rad was not working. We told the staff and they thought it was funny (not good). Went down stairs hoping the log fire might warm us for our sweet. But wrong, again it was not very warm. The basic point of going to a pub is to feel warm and friendly not the opposite. The food was ok, but a little over priced, I would not go again in a hurry. View all feedback.
As always super food and the service from the girls is superb. All go out of their way to accommodate with the menu I don’t eat meat but wanted a roast dinner!...

The restaurant also offers the possibility to sit outside and eat in nice weather, and there's a counter where you can sit down and eat. The seat / dining area invites you to linger and extensively eat, and for the littlest guests, there is a high chair.
