"Lovely atmosphere on a Friday night. Not to busy but enough to create a nice buzz. Service was excellent by our waitress but unfortunately didn't get her name! Menu is not extensive but enough to leave you still deciding what to have, beef carpaccio starter, carbonara and white chocolate parfait were all excellent. Meals were not huge, but actually had room for dessert and felt full but still comfortable afterwards. Overall good value for money. Well done Rosie the team"

"Lisa and Dave are so inviting that you could easily bask in their cosy, warm and friendly surroundings all day long. They truly create a very special place, somewhere that stays in your mind and sticks to your heart. Their food is fantastic. I find a small savoury selection is a true sign of a confident master chef. The patties are the very best I’ve tasted, the cheesey scone was delicious and the soup was packed with flavour! The cake selection is phenomenal even if you are full, take a mini selection of treats or a slice of cake home otherwise you will regret it! I fondly dream of a pattie, a good ol’mug of tea, whilst soaking up the warmth of love and soft reggae music that exudes from The Loft."

"We visited for the first time today (29/07/21) we ordered a cheese tomato omelette, a cheese panini, tea latte. There were no paninis left so I settled for a cheese toastie. We waited nearly 25 minutes whilst people who came in after us were served before us. The omelette was ok. The toastie wasn't it consisted of 2 slices of white bread, slightly toasted on the outside soggy on the inside with tasteless, unmeltedcheese in the middle. There was a tired, unappetising garnish on both meals. The latte was ok the tea was too weak to make the top of the cup! The ladies who served were lovely but the bearded chap really needs a short course in customer relations! Definitely won't go back or recommend."

"Have been frequenting the church street tavern for a while now and sadly have to say that this place has really struggled to keep a good standard post lockdown. I went last Saturday with family for some drinks and tables are covered in used glasses...and staff seemed indifferent to clearing them. Slow service and long wait for drinks to arrive too. I understand they are currently short staffed but this has been an issue for a while and is not an excuse. Probably won’t return for a while now sadly. Better places nearby."
