"Food is more expensive these days but Avenue Bistro could do better with their fish and chips offering. 1 piece of halibut and fries was 26 and a side of coleslaw was an extra 2. The fish was OK but a bit dry. The batter was light but not exceptional(it was take out but we ate within 10 minutes). All in all, the box was pretty disappointing on opening: especially if one ishungry, which I was. The piece of fish was small and the offering of fries was dismal and so much so that I thought it was amistake but all 3 orders fell to the same meagre level. OK, halibut is pricey but fries aren 't. The most lame element was the side of coleslaw it was served in a tiny plastic cup the same size as the tartar sauce about 1 2 tablespoons (not anexaggeration it was about 1 mouthful). Cabbage is cheap so perhaps they could loosen up a little on the portion size. Inoverview, pretty disappointing as I 'd heard many say it was a great place to eat in Comox. Maybe they 're catering to the retireecrowd that want a smaller meal but for the price, these must be well to do retirees. I won 't be heading back value for wasdismal. Food quality was OK but far from exceptional."

"We are a few blocks away and have had take out on a few occasions and everytime the food has been very enjoyable. Nice to have a real good sushi spot downtown Comox Good selection and allways fresh"

"Small coffee shop that has really good quality coffee. the killer mocha has the right amount espresso and hot chocolate. turkiscle is like a frappuccino but has much better quality than a dietary frappuccino. would definitely come back to qualitatiw high quality coffee."

"We told the waitress we were splitting all of our order, but when it came, there were no salad tongs to split the salad, and the main meal well, we had to split it ourselves. We're used to getting our meal split (and don't mind paying extra for it) when we share our order. (Obviously not big eaters) The food is great, nevertheless, and not inexpensive. It feels good to support a local business. We can't put our finger on it, but we didn't feel welcome, just served."

"Absolutely love the gelato. Wish I’d had time to stay to try more but it was near closing time, so I politely made myself scarce with a large cup of chocolate, blue sky and bubblegum flavour. Their staff were very friendly (and with it being close to closing time for them, I give them double points for that) and I’d one hundred percent like to go in again if the opportunity presents itself."

"We stopped here for dinner on the last of four nights at the adjoining motel. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and freshness, being the restaurant is attached to a 1970s motel. We saw another in a strip mall later in our road trip, so may be a chain?"

"We came for dinner with friends and everyone loved their meal! We had the Caesar appy drink (more like a meal!) and then shared some appies and each ordered an entree. Dinner portions were huge, we could barely finish our meal. The falafel burger was massive! Also appreciated there was gluten free options. Very cool place, will definitely be back!"
