"I asked the server for a recommendation. The two dishes were the General Tso chicken and the Honey Walnut Shrimp because those were the most popular. I chose the Honey Walnut Shrimp. Too sweet, too rubbery, and it ruined the dish. Not executed very well. This was $20. Appetizer was the Fried Cheese Wontons with a spicy chili sauce. The sauce had a nice kick to balance the sweetness of the wontons. Wontons are lightly batter with a nice crunch. I would order these again. As of now, I am giving this place 3 stars until I return and try something else."

"I am a local and enjoy the food that is served at all the local resturants. but the grapevine stands out as being one of the best between baton rouge and new orleans.. the food is always great and very fresh and well seasoned. the servers are a vetern crew and work the tables well. a great place to meet and enjoy all the paintings and live music on weekends and the sunday brunch is one to enjoy and relax."

"This was my first time ever in Louisiana. I was recommended to visit this place. I LOVED IT! I had the Shrimp Po' Boy and fried gator. I loved this place so much I went back before my trip ended. "Food was very good, we started with fried pickles since they are my son's favorite. They were super crunchy with a great flavor. A jalapeno ranch dipping sauce came with them and it was spot on. I had the fried catfish with fries and mixed vegetables. The mixed vegetables were amazing. The fries were good but couldn't match the veggies. My son had the ribeye cooked medium rare and was very happy with it. Overall it was a great experience and we will be back again."
