I used to visit this restaurant frequently and I have to say, the food has improved significantly. However, there is a lack of variety in the soup options, which can be disappointing. They only have two choices available. I would also recommend a renovation of the restaurant. The decor, such as the wall decorations, do not match each other and many of them appear cheap. It seems like they were put up just to fill the space. They could create a more inviting atmosphere by incorporating Polish traditions into the decor. In general, the food is good and the prices are fair. I just wish they would offer more variety in their menu choices and stick to one cuisine instead of mixing in Italian dishes.
My recent dining experience at this restaurant was exceptional, and I feel compelled to share about it. Magda, our server, provided excellent service, being friendly, attentive, and helpful in recommending and describing the dishes. We enjoyed the pork schnitzel with mushroom cheese and the cheese potato pierogis. Despite my request for fried pierogis, they arrived boiled. Magda graciously offered them to us for free and prepared fried ones for me. She even gave us two complimentary wafer desserts to try. We paid £22 for two meals and two glasses of delicious wine. This was our first visit, but certainly won't be our last!
My family and I visited this restaurant for the first time tonight. We love Polish cuisine and we were not disappointed. The restaurant's decor is average but very clean. We were seated and served promptly. Our drink orders were taken and brought to the table, then we were left alone. After about 20 minutes, I approached the server and learned that we needed to go to the hot buffet cart to choose our food. The menu changes daily, so there was no menu on the table. However, there was a specials board near the buffet. We decided on Pierogi Ruskie (cheese-filled dumplings) and large meatballs in mushroom sauce. There were also two pork dishes and Military soup available. The meals were served with 3 different cold vegetable salads, mashed potatoes, and sour cream with lardons. We also tried the soup, which was excellent. The food was delicious and flavorful, with generous portions. We had to share a piece of plum cheesecake for dessert, which was also very good. With one beer and 3 soft drinks for our table of 5, the bill came to £50. It was definitely worth it and we plan to return.
Niezłe domowe jedzenie. Często zmieniane menu świadczy o świeżych produktach. Typowe polskie potrawy. Duże porcje. Dobra cena. Jak u mamy. Warto zajżeć.
