We ate here on a golf trip to Cranbrook. There was only one other person eating and we were a little leery but the the food was very quick and good. Bulgogi, bibimbap and spicy BBQ pork were excellent. Spring rolls were Ok. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Kang Nam:
Beef short rib, kimchi, and soup were all excellent, spicy dumplings were very good, BBQ mackerel was tasty but poorly presented, atmosphere is average. Waitress was friendly and accommodating, but did not offer refills on drinks. Good food, reasonable price, nothing fancy. View all feedback.
Four of us went for dinner and everyone enjoyed their dinner. The food arrived piping hot and nicely flavoured. The kimchi was delicious as was the bool go gee that I ordered. The waitress, Hayley, was friendly and helpful. I would definitely eat here again.
I've always liked Korean food and I like to cook it too. It's all about a mixture of flavors for me. They have a decent assortment of Namul including a good kimchi. We had the beef bul-go-gi, a spicy bean paste chicken, and kimchi fried rice. All in all a decent meal. The kimchi fried rice was not bad and not good. Next time we'll definitely order a different dish. The bull-go-gi and the chicken were tasty together. The namul matched up well. I'd come back here again.
Cranbrook has a plenty of restaurants for you to choose from and this Korean Food establishment is one that you should try.My wife and I visited on a Saturday evening around 6pm and the restaurant was almost full.A reservation is probably advisable. The atmosphere is informal.Free appetisers were brought to our table shortly after our server took our order and served our drinks.Sapporo beer for me and a glass of wine for my wife. The main courses followed in about twenty minutes. In our opinion Korean cuisine is close to Japanese cooking, maybe just a bit spicier. So you will find items that look awfully like sushi, tempura, teriyaki and rice dishes on their menu.We ordered delicious entrees from the Barbecue section which included a bowl of rice and a bowl of Miso soup and this worked out just nicely for our complete dinner.Takeout service is available. The prices are very reasonable. We recommend this restaurant.

On vacation from Bay Area, California, and in between a couple of national parks. It was nice to have an Asian food option. We had Doenjang jigae (Bean paste stew with veggie and seafood) and Dolsot Beebimbab. The bean paste stew had jalepeno, cabbage, onions, mussel, baby shrimp, and tofu. You may want to indicate your spice preference with the server if they don't ask. This was a nice change from burgers and sandwiches on the road between national parks.
