Their chicken is definitely one of my favorite. It tastes really good. You have to try this if you're in Dumaguete (or maybe in other areas where there is Jo's Chicken Inato). The chicken meals come with unlimited rice. There are also fresh fruit shakes that you can pair up with your meal. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Jo's Chicken Inato:
The place usually packed by local tourist and town folks especially at night and on weekends. The grilled barbeque chicken has a distinct taste in comparison to Bacolod's chicken inasal. Chicken is juicy but have a sweet taste. Spices is nothing fancy it is limited to salt, citrus, chillis and brown sugar to make that sweet-spicy BBQ. Food is affordable and place can a bit humid. Be sure to have cash on hand in case their credit card machine isn't working. The service was fast - order, pay, and wait for your food. Chicken was served within 5 minutes of ordering, so it wasn't too hot. The chicken breast was a bit dry at this location compared to the one in Iloilo. For a more enjoyable experience, sit on the second level to feel the cool breeze and admire the old Acacia Trees surrounding the restaurant.
The mango float was disappointing and the halo halo was already melted by the time it reached my table. The staff, especially the cashier, were unfriendly and snobbish. They did not provide utensils, so I had to get them myself, and there was no music playing. The drinks were overpriced, but the chicken was delicious and there was a generous portion of rice.
The service at this restaurant was extremely slow, but the chicken was quite delicious. We arrived around 8pm on a weekday and found the entire two-story restaurant full, with a waitlist of 5 people. They served a generous portion of rice, even more than the amount of chicken. This might be a positive for some patrons. The prices are reasonable and there is parking conveniently located across the street, so I can't really complain. The flavorful chicken, seasoned perfectly to my liking, was the highlight of the meal and overshadowed any drawbacks.
Interesting that a chicken joint doesn't have any chicken. Was told that only pork and beef were available. The Good: Lechon kiwali tasted good. The Not So Good: Unfriendly vibe Not so clean Dingy atmosphere When asked if the ice used to make the watermelon shake was from filtered water or tap water, I was told tap
Our experience was a painful 2 star at Jo’s. While the specialty chicken bbq and beef steak was so so it was the rude lazy waiters that ruined it for us. We always had to stand up to look for anyone to take our order only to find them always grouped up at the back gossiping on their phones! I made the mistake of complaining because they responded with hostility! Lunch ruined!
