What User likes about Solway Tide:
Lovely quirky tea room with some decent food and pleasant staff. My only quibble which makes it a 4 instead of 5 star review. Is that they serve hot drinks in paper cups. And sandwiches etc in cardboard lunch boxes. I would much prefer proper cups and plates. View all feedback.
What petesaund doesn't like about Solway Tide:
From the street there is little to draw you in as it is right opposite town principal carpark although this does not detract from what is a delightful historic town with a Georgian element and many art galleries However from the street there is a little glimpse of what is behind the facade and it tempts you to venture down a side cut de sac and hey presto there is a little verdant oasis of calm. nice cafe and nice food. This was the only cafe in Kirkcudbright which was happy to have children and their pushchairs. I had a really nice almond slice...
Excellent coffees from friendly people and this cafe has a lovely little garden at the back which is a huge bonus on a sunny day.
