Prebooked table for Boxing Day lunch.We arrived after a muddy walk together with muddy dog.The owner was so accomodating and found us an excellent table.The pub was very busy but the service was excellent. It is a real country pub with everything you expect. Open fire, very good range of real ales and first class service. Our lunch, particularly the specials , was first class.We will return. we booked here when we were at the weekend in the opposite. was not a big choice on the menu. we had a starter of suppe and a net of cake and chips. suppe was nice, but something too salty. pie was delicious with meat loads and came with many chips. nothing else that is very unusual. they would normally expect something nice? for the price that was very strange and a little disappointing. but we sat at the fire and t...
