"This newly opened Portuguese bakery on Leith Walk is a true gem. Not only is it the best coffee in Edinburgh, it also serves some pretty wicked sweet treats. I can literally feel my waistline expanding just from looking at the custard, cream and chocolaty pastries. Portugal is famous for their custard tarts, and the ones served at Casa Amiga take me right back to my holiday in Lisbon. My favourite coffee on the menu is a flat white; it has the perfect ratio of coffee to milky froth. Hungry? try their ham and cheese croissant- I don't know what they put in the pastry but it is delicious! The bakery has a nice laid back feel to it and has extra downstairs seating for when it gets busy. They also stock some Portuguese soft drinks and sweets. It’s authentic, relaxed and relatively undiscovered. I LOVE this place."

"The food is of a high standard. Both cooked and presented well. Whilst you can indulge in pasta/burger options, they have healthy options as well."

"Wednesday night marked another fantastic visit to Aizle and each time, hubby and I agree the whole experience is just a dream super friendly, welcoming, incredible food and wine, fabulous service it was a birthday occasion and we left feeling very spoiled it really is a special place! The 7 course tasting menu was exceptional! And the paired wines to match also fabulous and all served with passion, flair and a relaxed professionalism that made it all seem effortless culinary perfection at its absolute best! And a huge thank you to the wonderful, very talented team that make it happen!"

"Maybe this place is as good as people say, but I wouldn't have any idea how to discriminate women with babies. When I came up with a baby, I was told that we cannot have one of several empty tables, because it is “policy to serve or rather its policy is that mothers should confine themselves to their own houses!? I came to sit and eat drinking on the terrace with family and friends not serve my month old"

"Omar the head chef a wizard with the fusion ingredients. Taste was off the scale and the team could not have been more attentive. Thank you for an excellent evening."

"What is not at this beautiful restaurant! the food, ambiente, service is a joy. thank you. hotter what you do so well. we had a really nice time and will certainly be visited again at our next visit in edinburgh. the lamb fountain was raised. my only little nag was at the arrival in edinburgh a few evenings before the dinning here, on a Wee walk to the castle, we briefly immersed in the restaurant and I confess that we did not get a pleasant reception from one of the hostes. I almost cancelled, nice that I didn't. but it is a warning for all who work in a restaurant/public sector, nice to anyone who goes through their door. you never know, even the largest restaurants can fall."
