this place is a bit of an institution and was used forever. always a safe bet for frying, chips and Gravy...yum!
Noodle Palace on Brunswick Street is pretty good for noodles as the name suggests.
I love eating the Vego Mee Goreng at Noodle Palace, I have for years.

"Really nice smoked and juicy meats. Seating is only outdoors so check the weather. When I went it was windy and raining. Not a great way to enjoy some good food. I just have to go back now. Customer service was top ... The lady there know how to look after customers. Parking: Industrial area so parking during the week can be hard with lots of trucks all around. Service: Dine in"

"Stumbled across this little place after dinner. Decided to stop in for a night cap. Really quirky venue with books to read and board games to play. The drinks came quickly and were so smooth! Definitely give this place a go"

"I ate here 06th February 2017.We ordered a pasta each, a diet coke each and a some bread (you pay extra for a piece of bread). Our past and drink arrived, but the bread never did.After eating our meals, we waited for someone to return to see if we wanted dessert - we'd looked at the menu earlier and we both saw something we liked. Eventually I walked up to the counter and grabbed a menu and said to the two staff standing there doing nothing that we will to order dessert. I took the menus back to our table, we double-checked what we wanted to order and waited. After 10 minutes, we decided to leave. As we were leaving I told the cashier that we didn't get our bread. He said "but I take it you did get your pasta and drink?". It felt somewhat condescending. He did ask if we wanted him to give us some bread to take home.This was a Monday evening. The place would have been 25% - 30% full and there was plenty of staff not looking particularly busy. Not sure we'll return. And not great for the owners if their staff aren't attentive to customers who have told them "we want to order more food", ie we want to spend more money in your restaurant.The pasta was very good. Seating uncomfortable."

"A lovely authentic experience at Ras Dashen with Wondi (owner and waiter). We took the advice of a previous Zomato review and just asked Wondi to bring us a mixture of food for two hungry diners.<br/ <br/ We got a mixture of meat and vegetarian dishes, alongside a variety of breads and everything was amazing. Finished off with a traditional coffee which not only tasted great, but was a nice little experience.<br/ <br/ All of this with two alcoholic drinks for just $30 a head!<br/ <br/ Looking forward to heading back already"

"The service was extremely disappointing. We had to ask for plates and cutlery, we were not offered a tab, there was no table service and one of the meals that was ordered and paid was completely forgotten. This was not my previous experience, but after that I would not be in a hurry to come back"

"It's like walking into Stefan's home and having an amazing home cooked French meal. The food here is traditional and super tasty, hospitality is outstanding and must mention the pate..it's mouth watering and seriously to die for. Sitting at the bar is my new favourite spot, very social, you get to see the chef in action and even lick the pate bowl if you're lucky!!"
