"I have visited Rosie 's on two other occasions when I have visited Gander and both times were very positive experiences. However, this past visit was so negative I won 't be returning. I had hoped to originally order the cod but they were sold out so I ordered the salmon. I eat fish several times a week so I know how it is suppose to smell and taste. When the salmon arrived it looked fine but it didn 't smell great, so I did try a small bite and it was awful. It had gone bad and I would have been sick if I ate it. When the waitress returned with the remaining food for the table, I told her what the issue was and was sorry but I had to send it back. I then ordered the soup and side salad. Several minutes later she came back with my plate of salmon and informed me that it is their policy to not take anything back and I would still have to pay for it. I explained that I was sending it back because it was bad and not that I changed my mind or didn 't like it. She apologized and said there was nothing that she could do. So, I waited for my second order but while waiting one of friends (who happens to own a pub/restaurant), tried a small piece of the salmon and agreed that it was bad and couldn 't be eaten. Once we were finished the waitress came by and asked if I wanted a take away for the salmon and I informed her to throw it away because it was bad and would make someone sick if they ate it. When I went to the cash I again told the cashier the issue I had and she said the same thing there is nothing I can do . I make a point to always try to support local businesses, especially small mom-and-pop places, but if you are looking for good food and somewhere that appreciates your business, Rosie 's is not that place."

"As expected for A&W. Always a good choice if you're looking for fast food. Quality is as expected for A&W. They offer table service which is a nice change from some other locations. Food came quickly and was exactly what was ordered. The only thing I have found with this location is that they occasionally run out of certain items later in the day."

"Our family would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to the outstanding staff and management at Swiss Chalet Gander. Heather, Donald and Angie (and the rest of the staff) are exceptional representatives of this restaurant company. Our son has anaphylactic allergies to dairy and nuts, and Swiss Chalet’s excellent allergy program means it’s the ONLY restaurant we know about that he can safely eat at in Canada. On our first visit about a month ago, the staff accommodated over our 30 hockey players and parents with less than 2 hours notice, allowing our son to safely eat in a restaurant with his hockey team for the 1st time ever. Our server Heather and manager Don were exceptional and attentive hosts, and our family and team were sincerely grateful. On our 2nd visit yesterday, we were lucky to be served by Heather again, and she remembered our son’s allergy AND HIS ORDER from over a month ago! We are so impressed and thankful to these wonderful people for their outstanding professionalism and incredible customer service. The food was, as always, excellent and the service was authentic, genuine, and first rate. We highly recommend the Gander Swiss Chalet/Harvey’s; exceptional people should be recognized and celebrated for the value they add to their patrons and their company. My son said he doesn’t remember his first Swiss Chalet meal, but that he will never forget this meal, because of the service. Thank you from us all."
