Sushi Shop - Gatineau

As a chain restaurant, I expect consistency in the quality/ingredients of what goes into your product. Husband ordered a 'black mamba ' that we order at all times, this one did not have the regular ingredients needed and replaced the shrimp with imitation crab?!? Cheap and useless. Both the man and woman (employees) on site were rude and pretended not to understand what we were saying. Will never go back to this Sushi Shop again.

I visited this store with 2 of my girl friends because we wanted something quick and we were all craving sushi. When we arrived, there were only a few people in the restaurant (like maybe 3-4). We were told there was a 30min wait time but we were ok with that so my friend and I made an order. I ordered a chicken teriyaki with an extra spicy mayo sauce. We waited at a table and it started getting a little more busy. My friend finally got her sushi after MORE than an hour. She asked if mine was almost ready and the employee told her “yeah I’ll make it” as if they didn’t want to or didn’t have the intention to. Anyway, my order was literally ready 5 minutes later. So I really don’t know why they made us wait over an hour when our sushis could have been ready in 10mins. Also, when I came to the counter to get my order, the soya sauce was upside down and the box was open and greasy. It literally takes 2 seconds to turn the sauce the right way and to close the box. Then, I realized that they forgot to give me my spicy mayo so I lifted my head to tell the employee and they rolled their eyes and gave me the mayo. They didn’t even wait for me to tell them that it was missing because they purposely didn’t give it to me. I guess they wanted to see if I would notice. I work in a restaurant that is constantly SUPER busy and I have never seen such poor service in my life. The sushi was really good but I wouldn’t recommend this location. There are other Sushi Shops you can go to that are not that far away.

Although I'm not a huge fan of sushi, every once in a while I get a craving for it. Recently, I organized a lunch group where we try different types of cuisine or have someone cook for us. This week, I decided to order sushi. A former food blogger in our group recommended a place that offered sushi burritos. I chose the Spicy Tuna and mango burrito and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I typically can't handle sashimi on its own, but in a burrito, it was delicious. The flavors were fresh and complimented each other well. I also tried the Vancouver roll, which had smoked salmon and cream cheese, and it was very good too. Despite not being a huge sushi fan, I left the meal with a big smile on my face. I highly recommend trying the sushi burrito at this restaurant.

This place is one of my favorite for a fast sushi experience! The food is fresh and the people serving or courteous. I have always been well served and the food is great! They are gluten aware at this particular Sushi Shop on St-Joseph in Hull. If you are vegetarian, this shop has many choices. My favorite sushi is the Fusion.

Excellent, fresh sushi is always delightful!!! It’s absolutely worth the taste, the blend of textures, flavours, and seasoning all is perfect .
