What User doesn't like about L'Echauguette:
Though the crepes were OK and nothing was bad about them they also weren't the best we ever tasted, the service was terrible! We had booked beforehand and were seated and given a baby seat but it took them 45 minutes to get us 4 basic crepes. By the time we could have had a whole 3 courses dinner somewhere else. Very disappointed as I knew this place and it used to be great up to last year. They really should do some... read more.

The wait may seem a little long but it really is worth it: a Niagara burger to fall with a steak of the area and an excellent AOP conte (real ingredients for a real good burger). "This is a good place to go for a long lunch or dinner, particularly if staying at the Mercure, which is just up the hill. A real fire helps the restaurant feel cosy and informal, and the staff are friendly. The food comes in good...portions, and the 10 hour beef is absolutely delicious. Meals are beautifully presented. We had fish pate which was divine, and a sort of superior shepherds pie with shredded beef and a potato topping. The rillets of fish were a tiny bit strange as they were very cold, but the food is generally really tasty. Desserts were huge pieces of chocolate cake with creme anglais or tarte tartine both very nice."
