Basta - Gstaad

What Yvonne Walser likes about Basta:
We were staying in the hotel and while we really enjoy Swiss food we finally decided to try it and in fact returned the next night. This place is really good and if only more Italian restaurants could prepare the meals as they do I would become a convert. Ignore the previous bad reviews. By Gstaad standards this is a very reasonably priced restaurant and the staff could not have been nicer. Go here!! View all feedback.

What Sophie Schüpbach doesn't like about Basta:
Little atmosphere, and whilst the fondue was fine, the other dishes were poor.  The cheese omelette was in effect a hard, solid tortilla.  A green salad was, staggeringly, a cos lettuce cut into four quarters and plonked on an empty plate.  Would not return. View all feedback.
