"Wir haben für ein Event in der Nähe eine preiswerte Unterkunft gesucht. Wegen den positiven Bewertungen haben wir uns für diese Unterkunft entschieden.Die Unterkunft liegt direkt im Ort und hat ein sehr gemütliches Ambiente. Die Zimmer sind einfach gehalten, aber alles da was man benötigt. Frühstück ist reichhaltig und der Kaffee top! (Für mich sehr wichtig..)Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich.In Summe eine perfekte Unterkunft wenn man eine preiswerte Unterkunft benötigt."

"We took the old nostalgia trains of the Mariazellerbahn to this charming pilgrimage four or five times, but it was only on our last visit that we did NOT fill in this wonderful family-run restaurant with foreign tourists. It was raining when we arrived and when we saw in our soggy-Falten rain ponchos in one of the most famous brewery restaurants that were only popular with tourists to have the door half hut in our faces, like the owner on a sign in German that apparently fully said. Try and pour for a dry, cozy place to retreat for food and warm up, we appreciate happy to have found the restaurant at Hotel Drei Hasen just a short walk away. There we were cordially greeted by the family's staff, who showed the place for the last half century, to a charming table, handmade menus with traditional dishes that made our mouth water, and treated with the most friendly, friendly attention to a fine meal with Austrians for our companions instead of foreign tourists. This is a great, warm, authentic place with some of the best local dishes we found in Mariazell. Sliced on the bones, we decided to start with the deliciously light and tasteful beef consommé (rind soup) with piquant mushroom noodles, followed by divided portions of seasonal asparagus with Hollandaise sauce and a few potatoes, and for our main dishes, two heaps of very savory beef goulash, also with potatoes. We have paired this large, substantial meal with several glasses of good wine and enjoyed both our meals and the ambience of the place. While we have dined, a big party of locals, children and dogs appeared in the tow to celebrate a family celebration. Everyone smiled and seemed happy, and while the festivities continued, the sun came out. We spoke and enjoyed looking at all interesting things on the walls, pictures of local folk celebrations, testimonies and other memories that characterize the decades of belonging to this family, and we felt happy to have shared together, alive, in the joy of ordinary people, who combined the simple pleasure of meal. The prices were very modest, well below what we probably paid in the restaurant that turned us away. To our great surprise and satisfaction we had a more friendly and authentic experience, with dishes that surpassed in quality and quantity, all we had before in Mariazell. During our next visit we will arrive for lunch or dinner directly to the Three Hares. We also recommend this."

"Schlecht gelaunte Chefin, die uns (Familie mit zwei Kindern) partout nicht im Nichtraucherbereich sitzen lassen wollte, weil sie diesen gerade putzen wollte. Im Raucherbereich raucht eh grad niemand, war Ihre Antwort. Eine glatte Lüge, denn dort hat es gestunken, wie es eben in einem Raucherlokal stinkt. Die neuerliche Bitte, im Nichtraucherbereich zu sitzen, quittierte sie mit der bemerkenswerten Aussage: Sie müssen bei mir nicht bleiben! Ja, es soll Gastwirte geben, die noch so denken und agieren. Sie sind zum Glück in der Minderzahl. So gut kann ihre Küche gar nicht sein, dass man bei so einem Geschäftsgebahren auch nur einen Cent lässt. Kurzum: ein kurzer, aber ärgerlicher Reinfall und ganz klar keine Empfehlung."

"Wir waren zum zweiten Mal beim Advent und im Hotel Scherfler. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich ( wie immer). Das Hotel war gut gebucht, Familien, Paare, bunt gemischt und jedes Alter. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön. Wir hatten ein sogenanntes Familienzimmer mit Verbindungstür. (Ideal für Familien mit Kindern). Mit Vorzimmer, Badezimmer mit Eckbadewanne und Toilette. Das Zimmer hell, mit herrlichem Blick auf die Mariazeller Bergwelt. Das Bett herrlich ( habe schon lange nicht mehr so gut geschlafen) nicht zu hart und nicht zu weich. Flat TV, Radio im Nachtkästchen, Safe, schön kuschelig geheizt, zum wohlfühlen.Das Abendessen war sehr gut und eine tolle Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken. Das Frühstücksbuffet lässt keine Wünsche offen.Verschiedene Brote, Weissgebäck, Strudeln, Biskuitrouladen. Orangensaft, Multivitaminsaft, Mineralwasser, Leitungswasser. Lachs, kalter Schweinebraten, Schinken, Wurst, Eier, Käse usw. Frisches Obst mundgerecht geschnitten, Joghurt, Müsli, Cornflakes, Marmeladen, alles was das Herz begehrt. Falls man ein weiches Ei, oder Rührei oder Spiegelei wollte, wurden wir von der überaus lieben und herzlichen Seniorchefin gefragt und bedient. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden sicher nächstes Jahr wieder im liebenswürdigen Hotel Scherfler einchecken."
