The soba is good, don’t get me wrong but I think the history and fame is what makes this place so popular. I had the せいろ蕎麦, which is the soba on the site with grated Japanese yam and egg included with the broth. It was very good. The tempura soba also looked really good. I’m not sure I would wait in line again for this though. read more.

The cold soba was cooked to Al Dante. The tempura were very fresh. Everything was delicious. Table is however small, suggest not to bring luggage there.
