Been using the New Golden lead for nigh since 1987 before the regeneration of the precinct. It was then the best Chinese take away in the area. Disappointingly it's now churning out heavily salted food with handfuls of what tastes like Mono sodium glutamate chucked in Obviously over time personnel change but the quality seems to to off the mark. Best local Chinese ever! I will not go anywhere else
That was a very tasty meal. the garnels were the best I ever had with crispy water chestnuts and bambus shoots. others said that he was delicious. they were very nice without recruiting msg. remember to eat without ordering msg. I wish they had tofu options. very clean.
I had a lovely beef curry and boiled rice which was well priced too.
Great service and very lovely tasty food, generous portions. Good value .
