"My wife and I were looking forward to visiting this cafe in view of the excellent reviews . However when we arrived we were approached by a chap , possibly the owner who, instead of offering assistance to get over the threshold step told my...wife and it would be better if we did not go in as it may be unsafe. We couldn't believe this man's attitude, offered no assistance and basically made us feel unwelcome. We left disheartened that such discriminatory people still exist , although we ended up having an excellent breakfast in the Coffee Grind around the corner. I have to say in all my years visiting older buildings which do not have purpose built disabled access this is the first time I have had such a negative unfriendly experience ."

"Very nice little cafe for a drink or snack. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We had coffee, which was really nice, although could have done with being warmer.Seating inside and out. Parking is quite difficult."

"That was my second visit to this little restaurant. both male was eating delicious and the service really very nice. I was glad to see a lot of vegetarian and vegan wein. I hope to go back very soon."

"My partner took me here for my birthday on Friday 25th November we had a really lovely meal, the food was delicious and big in portions! The ribs in particular were good! The pub itself is beautiful with old beams and a lovely fireplace, very warming and welcoming! The staff were very friendly and attentive including the manager/owner. I will definitely be coming back, a lovely hidden gem!"

"My friends and I had a lovely lunch today. I had a toasted tea cake, my husband had soup and my friend had a piece of carrot cake. All three were scrumptious. We will be going again very soon. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Thank you for a great lunch."

"We had afternoon tea and everything was delicious, lovely sandwiches, warm scones and tasty cakes. The cakes were proper sliced cakes and not the silly little taster cakes you can sometimes get. A lovely warm welcome from all the staff and we were given a box to take home what we couldn't eat. The best high tea we have ever had. We will definitely be going back again."
