"Ordered food a few times and this has to be the worst. We got the cheese churds, loaded tots, pork nachos, and shrimp tacos. The pork nachos were so loaded with BBQ sauce it was gross, every bite was just a mouthful of sauce and nothing else. It was so sickening I couldn't even keep eating them. The shrimp tacos were bland and puny and the tortillas were ripped so couldnt eat them as tacos. The side was a small portion of chips and pico. Not worth the price paid. Half the cheese curds were just breading and no cheese. The only thing edible were the loaded tots. We have had a few meals here and this by far was the worst. Dont know if we will be back. Consistency isnt there."

"We were on a laune when we came from jacksonville. eating was very good, the people friendly and the restaurant sweet. I will say that all we had was the brisket sandwich (again delicious) and two sweet tees. no page, because they're $3 extra. yikes! it was $30.05 for two sandwiches and two drinks and the non-bar payment adjustment. I get the cost for everything goes up, but they are in the ground penalizing to make business with them that just seems strange. I noticed that she mentioned that also other places do, but I wasn't anywhere in years that charged the additional fee for using a card. it is not the amount as much as the idea. they charge $3 for a sweet and do not even offer a side with the sandwich. they probably made more than the card fee. Maybe they do one or the other because $30 for two sandwiches (again delicious) and two drinks just like a set. even these days!"

"This is the first restaurant I've been to that allowed dogs. You have to opt for the outdoor seating, but that worked just fine. We ordered hush puppies and scallops for appetizers. Hush puppies were nice and crisp on the outside and warm and steamy on the inside. The scallops were done perfectly and ordered blackened. Next up was 6 of the fresh oysters from the ever changing menu. They were delicious and very tasty with the numerous hot sauces to choose from. Then, the Oyster Sampler which entailed a mix of 16 oysters raw, steamed and char grilled. All good but I found I personally least liked the char grilled. Then, lastly, the Lobster dinner, only served on Fridays. It came with coleslaw and corn on the cob. Tricia, our waitress, was fantastic! She timed the food just right. She also brought pail of water out for our dogs. Great experience and would highly recommend this Surf City restaurant!"
