love this place! it can find a little hard to find (only on the map) but if it's 're inside, it's ridiculously hard to leave. another drink seems always in I can't believe it's chicken soup o'clock already! their cocktails are hardy, especially the west side and fraise sauvage. large selection of wine served at the glass and tasty eating late, as in the past midnight. hallo late night steak wetare and killer grilled... I really wanted to love this place. and I. excellent cocktails and eat, but above all, fast and unpredictable service. the staff here will make a point to take care of them. try their famous steak tarts. ideal for cocktails and oysters, but also their late night dinner (they serve up to 3:30 o'clock,) especially the grilled cheese. her gimlet is strong, dangerous and delicious.
Large cocktail bar, classic design and good cocktails! a bit expensive
Just another bar in Lan Kwai Fong... Not a speakeasy kinda bar, it's like a club like bar where it's just too noisy to chill. I guess I don't enjoy the ambience. It's certainly not classy somewhat dodgy. Bartenders are friendly... no comments on service. Tried a few drinks the Gimlet was amazingly fresh and strong! However the other drinks are not quite worth a mention.
With Chope buy-1-get-1-free deal, my cousin and I decided to try out Employees Only on a Saturday evening. It was relatively quiet when we arrived at 7pm. The restaurant and its bar did get busier and busier as the night unfolded. We ordered two mains to share. First one is this Sausage Platter, with Chef’s selection of pork, lamb and chicken sausages. I love sausages so much and this heavenly platter gave us a bit of everything! The sausages were all very decent. One of the sausages was filled with cheese (the short one on the right). I particularly love the spicy ones. My cousin is a pickle lover, and she found the cucumbers on the side really good. Second main we got is this Slow-Cooked Pork Ribs with pickled daikon. The ribs was rightly cooked with a strong BBQ flavour. Meat was tender and easy to cut out from the bone. To our surprise, there was quite a lot of meat! I tried one pickled daikon, and it was really good! No wonder my cousin spoke so highly of the pickled cucumber just now. We went on low carbs for this meal unintentionally, but the meat did stuff our tummies with great satisfaction.
Great friendly bartenders!!! Great drinks and food with a speakeasy vibe. Shortly became one of my favorite bar after a few visited. However, the hostess at the reception was rude and impolite which surprised me. I brought 4 friends to this lovely bar, we are sitting at the bar area and 2 of my friends decided to stand for a bit since we've been sit for awhile. However, the hostess moved my friend's belongings away from the seats without asking and offer those 2 seats to other guess. When I told her that we actually need those seats, she argued that my friends are already standing. O...well...what a experience for my friends for their 1st visit...don't think they will wanna come back again...
