"This place had some delicious beers (Haben der Erdbeersaurier und Porter). Very friendly staff and with a modern yet inviting space. I and my husband enjoyed our food. But it is a little more then I would normally spend on burgers and pommes. With all that is said, I will definitely return when in the area again."

"When ordering new places, I usually like to try their convicted bovine rabbit. Egg River Cafe offers short rib hash. I've decided to try it instead of the beef... I'm so glad I did, it was incredible and hearty. So many other great dishes I would like to try the next visit. Interesting and friendly staff, great service and fast. I'll be back soon."

"I haven't visited Hood River for several months. We felt comfortable with inside dining, but take out is also available. Staff is masked, tables are separated, extra precautions are followed. The food was delicious and the waitress was friendly and efficient."

"Large brewery that deserves to be considered as the top of the region. Had some of their beers from the tap and some I took bottles. None of them disappointed all are decent top quality brews. Tried her bratwurst sandwich for food in the taproom. As a born German I can say that this is not only very authentic Bratwurst, it was one of the best I had in a long time. The visit is a must for every beer lover. Cheers!"

"We are locals and have been going to Henni's for years. It was very unique and absolutely delicious and with a South African flair. There was nothing even remotely like it anywhere around. It was one of our favorites, until everything changed a couple of years ago. Now the menu is extremely limited, nothing to remind us of the unique and wonderful dishes that used to be on the menu and now, it is embarrassingly overpriced. We hadn't been there since July 2021, so we thought we would give them another chance last week. We were so disappointed, we left. We know many other locals that will not go back and we are among them. Why would they change a perfect thing? Tourists don't know the difference, but the locals do and locals pay the bills for Henni's in the off season,,but we wonder for how long. They made a big mistake."

"Fabulous!! We went 4 times while in town for the weekend. And we went back again this week. The barista on Saturday morning was quite snarky, but the rest of the staff super nice and eager to please. 5 stars for everything except the snarky barista. PS: we got some dessert items to go chocolate cake and lemon tartlet WOW!! WOW!! The best!"
