Pricey but well worth it. You can get a good steak anywhere but this is a unique experience i say it's a must do in Banff! We had the complete fondue dinner it was so tasty. Started with house salad, the the cheese fondue with bread, seafood trio and beef+lobster on hot rock, finished with chocolate fondue with fruit and wafer cookies. Everything tasted delicious had to remind myself to save room for the next course.... View all feedback.
What وديع صدام doesn't like about Grizzly House:
Two couples, with shared meat and cheese fondue. Meat was a hot plate to cook the meat but even after two hot plates the meat cooked very slowly. Cutlery was dirty as well and the service very average. Suggest you stick to the cheese fondue which was very good. View all feedback.
Grizzly House has always been my favorite restaurant It has the best menu around. The pricing is a little on the steep side but well worth it. If you are looking for a dynamite meal this is the place to go.
A group of us visited during the afternoon and I was starving a Fondue for 2 was brought out and it was more than enough for 4! All of the meals were just as requested and not one thing was wrong. We did not try anything exotic! But the burgers were fantastic. The young lady serving us all was very friendly helpful and gave great service.. We were in the area for our daughters wedding in Canmore and it was a welcome respite from all the preparations!!
The outside of this quaint restaurant in Banff is quite deceptive.....it's quite a size inside! We had been advised to request a table near the front when booking because of the smoke. On arrival, there were no such tables free and we took a table in the main area. The smoke emanating from the "customer cooking" didn't pose a problem at all. We opted for the Complete Fondue Dinner for two. The starters (salad & soup) were nothing special but the Neuchâtel fondue was quite delicious. We then mixed an Original & Hunters Fondue along with the range of sauces and cooked the meat on hot rocks (the healthier alternative!). The rock did cool down just a tad too much before we finished this course so our waiter brought over another one. The choccy-toblerone fondue dessert was very moreish and one I will try to re-create at home!A lovely atmosphere & great service.
The best time i have ever had eating out if Skip everything else on the menu and focus on what has made them famous their fondues from the top notch staff to the experience of them setting everything up in front of you and the moment it hits your mouth it is just as much entertainment as it is food. This establishment allows for a conversation a ambience that is hard to find these days the days where eating out wasnt just about eating The decor and private booth option and phones at ebery table.sets it apart from others. If you eat in one place in Banff make it here you will not be dissapointed. It will be a un unforgettable experience
We did the 4 course meal with same game meat. When they first bring out the meat portions, they look very small BUT it is plenty when paired with the cheese and dessert fondues. The choice to use the hot stone to cook the meat was really fun and all the food was delicious!
