The dining room is dated, but fortunately the views displace those images. There's not much choice for dining in the area, especially now with staffing shortage...

I just had the worst dinner of my life. Seafood club in the casual dining area. $26z a small hard stale croissant with a thin layer of mayo and a couple shrimp....

Disappointing considering the rates at this hotel are so high. Service was slow. Nothing culinary about it.

"This super sweet café had 4 different vegan snacks available, including chocolate banana bread that was delicious. For lunch, only the hummus and veg sandwich was vegan, but when I was there, they had a vegan soup, but not sure if the soup is vegan every day. Overall would definitely be back for a snack and coffee. The coffee was good."

"The views outside the picture windows of the restaurant were as amazing as the food served by a wonderful waitress. The crepes were world class, freshly prepared with a delicious variety of fillings . We had a memorable time and will be back for more!"

"Good ice cream. Proportions are big. They have quite a few selections of Nestle Ice cream. No chocolate on the day we visited so we had to do with the Triple Brownie Chocolate. A good place for some ice cream."

"Waited to eat here all summer and let me tell you it wasn't disappointed. Great surroundings, excellent food and amazing views of the water. I would recommend to anyone who thinks to eat here. We're coming back!"

"I'm a New Englander and have eaten a lot of lobster rolls during my life and I have to say that the fresh lobster roll from Brookside was by far the best I have ever had! It was all claw, knuckle and tail meat.with a little (emphasis on little) lettuce and a swipe of mayo at the bottom of a freshly baked soft roll (not what we New Englanders are used to, but absolutely perfect for this), topped with lobster meat that was falling out of the roll. Brookside is "take out" only, and is obviously a popular "local" spot. My husband topped off his meal with their salted caramel ice cream that he said was amazing. Don't miss this place if you are in the Ingonish area."
