"I try to make coffee at home usually, but gosh I love this place. So much that I buy their beans which they kindly grind for my machine at home and I use this restock as an opportunity to treat myself to an iced Hippie about once or twice a month. I love this spot not just because they make the best coffee in KC, but bc I also love everything they stand for. Their owners are active in the KC community, environmentally conscious, and I just have so much admiration for their thoughtfulness in everything they do. You cannot go wrong supporting this local business ran by incredible people."

"The first time in Voltaire and it was great. We had 5 pm reservations on a Saturday and there were only two other groups. The bar was completely open to the future. At 5:30 a.m. the place began to fill. We visited for their 4-6pm happy hour. Great offers on drinks (loved the Paloma). However, food specialities were amazing. The 8 shells were so good and we got a pretty big bowl. The hummus plate was great. The beet and walnut hummus had so much taste. The oysters were also good and an excellent deal for $2 a oyster. We were pretty crowded after the appetizers and had no chance to try one of the ducks. We will definitely try again!"

"The ship is a bar that also serves food in a very old building in a warehouse district that looks ripe for gentrification. The servers were very friendly. I was told by locals that they have live music with some impressive performers on certain nights."
