"Long established in the old part of Schaffhausen, buffalo horns above the entrance to one of the dining rooms greet diners on arrival. Comfortable seats and good ambiance allows one to observe the busy waitresses at work and get a little glimpse of kitchen activities under the guidance of chef Fabrice, an excellent chocolatier and baker in addition to his fine culinary skills. Heidi, who runs the front of house makes one warmly welcome and ensures you are well looked after. Summer dining in the quiet and leafy garden is a joy with excellent food complimented by attentive and charming service. We were treated to a complimentary bowl of soup. To describe it a chicken and mushroom would be unfair - it was much more! After an enticing main course be sure to leave space for the chocolate mousse, an artistic masterpiece exceeded only by its incredible variety of subtle flavours."
