"Lovely dinner with our 3 kids who were also made very welcome. We also stayed in the apartment above which was so handy and again great for a family of 5. Only slight disappointment was that the food/specifically Lauder Rib-eye steak and home made sour dough whilst really good, was not as jaw-dropping amazing as we’d had a when chancing upon the Cobbles a year ago and which had made us come back again. But a brilliant ‘stopover’ on the way to Edinburgh. Great service and lovely beer too!"

"Booked here for lunch and to watch the rugby on the large TVs. Portions of food were very generous and delicious. The staff and manager were incredibly friendly and helpful. Will definitely return next time we are in Melrose. Thank you for a great pub experience."
