"Absolutely delightful place! The food was delicious, we had nachos (huge portion), meat skewers, gambas, calamari, quesadillas and lamb burgers. All of it was amazing, each dish as good as the next, excellent portion sizes and very reasonably priced. We had a lovely waiter, a...young lad, who was very attentive and friendly. Next time we're in Kendal, we'll be back! Thank you!"

"Called in to browse and bought some pastries and a bowl of mixed salads to take away for a picnic lunch. The brie and onion quiche was yummy. The salad box was huge! The salads were each so different but so fresh and flavourful with enough leftover for tea. Will call in again when next in Ambleside."

"Real gem. We are greatful for other reviews it was great to have some idea what to expect. We booked a table about a week before travelling to Cumbria. So glad we secured a table. Food was amazing. Along classics this little place has really interesting dishes that we didn 't see elsewhere. We had fantastic meal. The owners are very kind and cheerful. We felt very welcome. We chatted amongst ourselves next day about our evening meal and decided that we were unlikely to get same quality food back in our part of London and ordered takeaway 2 evenings in a row of sheer perfection.... I had a chat with one of kind gentleman owner 's when I went to collect food. He said you decided to have another curry . The truth is that we couldn 't go home without eating their food again."

"Live in Windermere would say over the years I have been to most places for afternoon tea . Cedar manor however was quite possibly THE best . Little soup to start , then mini quiche with salad , chilled beautiful sandwiches , warm scones delicious cakes . It was absolutely perfect . Even the cup of tea was sensational . It’s 5 stars from me . Would definitely recommend will definitely be returning . Loved it ."
