"Fantastic service. Perfect in their level of attentiveness and timing. The food was delicious and hot when served. Overall quite an enjoyable evening. (Noise was a little excessive, but that's a function of the other people and their need/wish to be heard by others."

"With mostly great reviews and clearly marked vegan options we decided on a weekend to give it a try for lunch. The inside is cozy and clean, thankfully we were alone along with two staff members working on a table nearby.Vegan Pad Thai the taste was OK. It was very underwhelmed taste. It neither tasted sweet, sour or spicy. The seasonings not up to par. We had dinner size more on it later.Thai Sweet Basil disappointed with this dish as well. The taste just wasn’t coming across as well we expected the Thai flavours. The plain steamed rice was good.A large Tom Yum Soup the taste was better and we enjoyed the soup. The only disappointment was the temperature was way less hot for soup. By the we poured in bowls and started it was almost at room temperature. Three small bowls is all we hardly got out of large.The other disappointing factor for all the dishes above is the quantity for the price charged. NotMeant for sharing for sure, but also not filling enough after the meal."

"Quaint little restaurant that serves a nice choice of real Italian dishes. The hand stretched pizza with what I would consider Italian toppings like bocconcini, prosciutto and arugula is more of a soft crust pizza than crusty thin, with nice amount of tomato sauce. Pasta was cooked to utter perfection . Put this place on your must try list.Vegetarian options: Mushroom and caramelized onion penne is so good!"

"Wow. After only going to kinkaku, I finally tried sushi star for the first time yesterday, and I think that for lunch, sushi star is the better choice. They have a much greater selection and are just as fresh and delicious. Standouts include a super light rainbow roll, a sweet and creamy sayo soup, and perfect banana tempura. They also have some rarer treats such as tempura ice cream, black sesame ice cream, and fried rolls (not my favourite, but still fun to try). Hand rolls have a little too much rice in them but the sushi and rolls were well proportioned. Service was quick, and I'll definitely be back. In downtown kitchener, there are three sushi restaurants. Kinkaku is best for dinner, sushi star for lunch, and don't even bother with ye's sushi."

"Had a great time last night. The food was delicious and came fast and in massive portions. As a couple, we got the 4 meat platter and took most of it home. The sweet potato fries are amazing too. Their BBQ sauces are really good and our waiter was really attentive. He was always there when we needed him."
